The PC meets on a regular basis and a topic of concern is often traffic related both in terms of volume increases and speed. Previous requests have been made to the County Council highways to reduce the speed limit through the main village and also on the main cross roads at Dunstall Cross. The speed limits for both roads are currently set at the national level.
To echo our concerns there was another accident at Dunstall Cross (August 2014).
To progress we have invited Richard Rayson of Staffs County Council Highways department and County Councillor Tim Corbet to a Parish meeting on the 20th November 2014. Richard and Tim will make a site assessment at 3.30 pm. At 4.00 pm we will meet at the village hall so that we can discuss the issue and the alternatives to address our safety concerns.
The meeting is open to all Parishioners and will be followed by our regular PC meeting. If you cant attend the meeting but would like any points to be raised then please send them in advance to firstname.lastname@example.org.
